Original thread comes from LV factory.
For most of the machine sewing LV bags, bag body uses 0.35mm needle thread and 0.25mm bobbin thread. The handle uses 0.45mm thread (Needle thread and bobbin thread are both 0.45mm) .
From the end of year 2025, LV made some modification: most of new issued bags use the threads as above, but for fews new issued bags, bag body uses 0.45mm needle thread, and bobbin thread is still 0.25mm. But all of bags handle thread is always 0.45mm.
We can see, LV is trying to update its technology, makes its bags looks better.
There is no rule to say which bag uses what diameter thread, bag appraisers won't judge a bag from its thread diameters.
Machine thread is suitable for sewing machine, you can also sew by hand, DO remember paint enough wax on it, pull and iron the waxed thread in electronic creaser tip groove before hand stitching, that will make the wax melt and penetrates into the thread absolutely, the thread will become straight and easy for hand stitching.
